| Polio was rife in Cambodia until recently, thanks to the Khmer Rouge's destruction of the health care system. Around 50,000 people have been affected by this easily preventable disease. This young woman requires orthopaedic braces for both her legs to assist with her mobility, as a result of polio. |

| A very young beneficiary having a cast made. This is the first step in the process of making an artificial limb or brace. Growing children need new limbs and braces every 6 months or so - they grow out of them, just as children grow out of their shoes. |
